What to expect

The initial appointment lasts up to 1 hour and  includes:

  • Comprehensive Case History: I will ask questions about your symptoms and medical history to pinpoint the cause of concern

  • Clinical Examination: I will observe your posture and movement as well as perform targeted clinical tests to determine which tissues are affected and to what extent. On occasions, I may need to request more investigations such as x-ray, scan, blood tests or an opinion from your GP.

  • Treatment may include: joint mobilisation, muscle energy techniques, high-velocity thrusts, cranial, soft tissue massage. These should not be painful and I will check to see that you are not in discomfort.

Please note

Please bring comfortable/ loose clothing such as sports shorts and top as you may be asked to dress down to your underwear so that I can observe your spine/ pelvis.

Babies may need to be dressed down to their nappies on first appointment.

Caroline was a God send when my Osteoarthritis flared up in my knee causing me terrible pain in my upper and lower leg. She listened, accessed and then manipulated me to ease the problem. She gave me some exercises to do and amazingly after only a couple of sessions I felt better than I had for a long time. I can’t thank or recommend her enough; she’s made me feel better that I have for a long time.'
